This was first reported by Yahoo Sports insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

He followed up with some optimism.

A press conference regarding a “major announcement” will be held at the Target Center tomorrow morning at 10 am. While the exact details of the presser haven’t been revealed, it’s assumed that the temporary coaching decision will be the topic.

At any rate, all of us at A Wolf Among Wolves will have coach Saunders and his family in our thoughts, and wish a him as speedy a recovery as possible.

  1. Pretty nervous about this move. All I remember about Sam’s Toronto stint (other than winning coach of the year) was how much his players hated him, and how much better the team did once he left.

I hope he learned from that experience.
