As you know, Zach LaVine is participating in the dunk contest tonight and he’ll actually have some competition this year. Andre Drummond can do some cool stuff for a man his size. Will Barton has the energy, athleticism, and creativity to put on a show. Aaron Gordon is a monster in this type of situation and will be a legit challenger. Over at CBSSports.com, I wrote about the endeavor Zach has before him.

LaVine probably isn’t short of ideas for the dunk contest but Australian artist Chris Edser put together some suggestions on Instagram (give him a follow and some likes) for what the reigning dunk champ can try.

While I like the power of that dunk idea, that may leave him with a hand resembling Blake Griffin’s hand. Let’s see what else Chris has in mind.

OK, I guarantee if he jumps through Iman Shumpert’s high top, he’s getting a 50. Just please don’t mess up Jeremy Lin’s hair. Spencer Hawes worked hard on crafting that. And for the final suggestion, a Throwback/Throwdown Thursday edition to pay homage to past participants.

I’m excited for tonight.

  1. I predicted at the start he was going to get the MVP. He obviously works very hard on his game and I saw him go off on my Thunder team in a way that was giving me Steph Curry flashbacks.

If he ever decides to go to LA he could become a superstar.
