Headlined by signed players Adreian Payne, Tyus Jones, and fifth overall pick Kris Dunn, the Wolves will also head to Vegas with a fun list of names from the college ranks.

This will be the second straight year the Wolves’ SL squad will be coached by Ryan Saunders, a fun coaching prospect in his own right.

Here is the preliminary round schedule for the Timberwolves:

Date Event Location Time (all times CT)
July 8 Game #1 vs. Denver Thomas & Mack Center 7:30 p.m.
July 10 Game #2 vs. Toronto Cox Pavilion 5:00 p.m.
July 11 Game #3 vs. Cleveland Thomas & Mack Center 7:30 p.m.

We’ll have more on the lesser-known names on this roster in the next few days.

I hope we get to see a huge chunk of the minutes with Tyus and Dunn in the same backcourt

  2. Mebert says:

Did all AWAW writers enter the thunder dome and only Tim came out? I am not complaining, you are doing a fantastic job, but it seems like you have been carrying the load since the off season.

The roster seems gaurd heavy, but summer league format favors guards so I think that will work out well.

  3. sportsbygreg says:

Keep an eye on Coty Clarke. I think he can be a steal for the Wolves. He can straight up ball. And, not only can he play the 3, but can play a Draymond Green type role as a stretch 4.

Has Ryan Saunders won a summer league game? Give me a break. Hopefully the new regime has the guts to clear him out.
